Grace & Kennedy, P.C

After 15 years of collaboration, Tom Grace and Jay Kennedy decided to formalize their partnership through the formation of Grace & Kennedy P.C. Over the past two decades, the number of civil jury trials has significicantly declined particularly since the 1970’s and 1980’s. Therefore, it is increasingly important that companies and individuals select attorneys who have a familiarity and comfort with the courtrooms in the geographic areas where the attorneys practice. At Grace & Kennedy, our courtroom appearances have occured in Berks, Bradford, Bucks, Centre, Chester, Columbia, Dauphin, Delaware, Juniata, Lackawanna, Lancaster, Lebanon, Lehigh, Luzerne, Montgomery, Northampton, Philadelphia, Pike, Schuykill, Snyder, Susquehanna, Tioga, Union, Wayne, and York Counties in Pennsylvania. Jay Kennedy has also appeared in Atlantic, Bergen, Burlington, Camden, Cape May, Cumberland, Essex, Gloucester, Mercer, Middlesex, Monmouth, Ocean and Salem Counties in New Jersey. Our attorneys have litigated a significant number of cases in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey federal courts.

While our attorneys are well versed and comfortable in a courtroom and have been battle-tested through significant exposure trials, Grace & Kennedy will only recommend trial when it’s in our client’s best interest. We are adept at quickly and comprehensively analyzing matters from every angle at the early stages of the litigation to allow our clients to make fully informed and conclusive decisions.

Our firm prides itself on crafting legal strategy that will achieve the client's desired result in the most efficient and cost effective manner available to the client.

Our philosophy is centered around immediate fact investigation and establishing a familiarity with the client’s goals, developing a preliminary legal analysis of the possible outcomes, and - - together with the client - - formulating the most cost effective strategy that accomplishes the client’s ultimate goal. One of the reasons for the decline of the number of jury trials is due to the ever increasing costs of defending cases. Every case that our firm handles is litigated with 2 primary goals:

1) Achieve the client’s primary result/goal; and 2) control and limit the legal costs to the client.

In addition to litigation services, our firm also serves as general counsel to several small business owners throughout the Southeastern Pennsylvania area.

Our lawyers have an understanding of the pressing legal needs of fledgling companies and provide legal services in a manner that can eliminate the unnecessary stress of high legal fees.

Finally, our attorneys are routinely selected to serve as mediators and arbitrators by their peers, the Philadelphia Courts and the U.S. District Courts.
